Pastoral/Bible Training

Empower provides funds to train and spiritually equip pastors and church planters for ministry in urban and rural settings.

In order to train the thousands of pastors being launched into ministry, Empower and our national partners have created a more efficient and cost-effective method of conducting Bible training in Southeast Asia. In an effort to adapt to the challenging circumstances posed by the pandemic, a new method of instruction emerged.

Virtual classrooms we call ​‘zoom rooms’ bring together 15 – 20 pastors in a small space, equipped with a large screen T.V, generator, computer and satellite dish. Teaching is conducted virtually by trained teachers based out of Ho Chi Minh City in multiple tribal languages. Although initially started out of necessity, the effectiveness of this approach has been overwhelmingly positive.
